St Agnes (U15) 6-1 Truro
St Agnes (U15’s) went into the final league game of the season needing to win to secure their place as League Champions.
Truro Grasshoppers had some players stuck abroad due to flight embargoes caused by the amount of volcanic ash in the atmosphere. Truro could only raise 8 players for the game, which had to be played in order to complete the 2009-2010 league season.
Goals from Samuel Barnes (x2), Andy Brown, and Chris Pell saw St Agnes go in at half-time comfortable with a 4-0 lead. Shortly after the second half kicked off St Agnes sportingly took off a player and played the rest of the half with 10 men. Further goals from Tom Wilcock and Tom Reeks secured the win despite Truro gaining a consolation goal.
Well done to all the boys who have played, Nigel and Kevin, and all who have helped to ensure St Agnes are LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
