St Agnes Youth Cup Success

The U 18’s and U16’s St Agnes teams had Cup draws this weekend, which saw victories for both at home and away.

St Agnes Under 18's hosted Wendron Under 18's at Enys Parc in the 1st round of the County Under 18's Rathbone Trophy. A brace from Tom Alison and one from Chris Woledge saw St Agnes win the match 3-0 and go through to the 2nd round where they face Illogan also at Enys Parc on the 7th of November.

St Agnes U16’s had a tough away draw at Truro City in the League Cup. The first half was a fairly even affair with both sides squandering chances. Truro took the lead early in the second half, but St Agnes fought back with a goal from Ben Bado ensuring full-time ended at 1-1. Extra time saw Billy Williams left foot shot beat the keeper for St Agnes to take a lead they held and fully deserved to progress to the next round. A display of belief and commitment from a newly ‘put together’ St Agnes side promises well for the season. Supporters’ man of the match: Charlie Kemp.
