St Agnes 3rd Team 2010-2011
St Agnes AFC 3rds Mining League side played their first friendly this season against Goonhavern's Mining League side. A good tempered well competed fixture!
St Agnes came out on top of the 4-1 result with Scott Yendle scoring the first, followed by a hat trick from the ever dangerous, goal hungry Thadeus Vingoe! Stepping up to open age football for their first season from the St Agnes AFC youth structure were 16 year olds Andrew Davey, Chris Woledge and Lewis Moyle who all gave great accounts of themselves!
St Agnes AFC are delighted to welcome James Thomas to the position of manager of their 3rd team as he rehabilitates from his broken leg injury sustained whilst playing for the St Agnes AFC Combination League side during their League Cup Final at the end of the 2009/10 Season. St Agnes AFC Chairman Mandy Kimmins welcomed James to the role saying, "It is always hard to recruit the right managers for teams and I am absolutely delighted that James has agreed to step up to the challenge and give management a go while he rehabilitates from his horrendous injury. Our 3rd team have a brilliant eclectic mix of players with youth and experience and I know they will support James in his role as manager. We hope to see James back playing as soon as he is able, but in the short term this is a brilliant appointment for our club!"
