Mini-Soccer: The Next Generation

St Agnes AFC Mini-Soccer hosted a joint training fixture with Perranporth AFC at St Agnes School on Saturday morning.

A joint warm-up featuring a snake exercise with some very loud pretend aeroplanes and trains commenced the proceedings followed by a 'reflections in a mirror' stretching routine which both squads entered into with great concentration.

A six-aside kick about then followed, which all the players enjoyed with big smiles on their faces! Both teams played some excellent football showing good skills, great team spirits, and consideration for other players and amazing effort. Goals were scored for both sides to the delight of players, coaches and the eager band of watching spectators, but the winner of the event was the football played by each and every child on the pitch! With the football finished both teams shook hands, roared 3 cheers at each other and every player shook hands with and thanked the referee before enjoying the after match biscuits and cakes!

Coach for Perranporth AFC Sam Boston commented, "That was brilliant well done boys and thank you to St Agnes for inviting us". St Agnes AFC Mini-Soccer Coach Mandy Kimmins thanked Perranporth boys for visiting and said, "All of the boys absolutely loved this morning and the football was great fun to watch! It is a privilege to see the beginnings of the next generation of footballers playing with such enthusiasm!"
